Safari Holidays - Best Place To Go On Your Honeymoon

Most people choose to travel to exotic destinations on their honeymoons because they want to relax on the beach, catch some tan. My husband and I wanted to do something different. We have always been attracted to uncivilized regions, so we decided to go on a safari holiday after the wedding ceremony. Even though we didn't stay there for an entire month we were able to visit the most important touristic attractions of the South African continent. You probably think going on a safari holiday is not as romantic as you would like it to be, but you're wrong. I've traveled to various destinations around the world, I've even been to Rome and Venice, two of the most romantic cities in the world - none of these vacations are as romantic as a safari holiday. The sunrise and the sunset are truly breathtaking; never in my life have I seen a sky that is redder than the South African one. In addition, there are many romantic things you can do if you choose to go on a safari holiday during your honeymoon.

Even though people rarely speak of the South African beaches I can tell you that they are very beautiful. The water is incredibly blue and clear, whereas most beaches are covered with white fine sand. I can assure you that you will have a much better time on your safari holiday than you would on a vacation in Greece or other sunny land. One of the first things my husband and I did during our safari holiday was to go to the Kruger National Park. I am not really a fan of wild animals, but I said to myself that this could be a onetime opportunity. And it was. It was really fun to see zebras and giraffes around us, but the cutest thing I ever saw was a lioness playing with her lion puppies. There is no need to worry because the guides will take great care of you. As a matter of fact they have tranquillizers and they are ready to use them in case an animal acts a little bit strange. However, riding an elephant was the part of the visit that I deeply enjoyed. I really felt like I was the "queen of the world" sitting on the back of these wonderful animals. I know now that elephants are very sensitive and it saddens me to know that ill-intentioned people come to South Africa to hunt them.

I will always remember the great times we had on our safari holiday. We even took some of the most amazing pictures because the mountain landscapes are absolutely enchanting. You can organize your safari holiday by searching the best South African vacation planners on the Internet. That is how we did and we were very pleased with the hotel room we booked. In fact, the room was purposefully decorated for honeymooners with baldachin and rattan furniture. You could see both the beach and the mountain from where our room was located. Moreover, the hotel staff was very polite and the food was excellent.

Your Once in a Lifetime Villa Holiday

From time to time it feels like just another package holiday won’t cut it. An overcrowded noisy pool, a dull venue with tasteless food and poor service. Now is the time to swap the average holiday experience for luxury villa holidays. Your own accommodation with all the luxuries you’d expect in a film like picturesque location.

Wake up to the gleaming sun above the vast blue sea, not to uncontrollable kids running like headless chickens around the hotel pool. Dip into your own private pool without having the whole hotel joining you as well plus you’ll never need to queue up for a sun lounger. Sounds like heaven doesn’t it? With a wide range of villas worldwide in excellent hand-picked destinations away from boisterous night life music and the outrageous younger tourists and construction sites for another bar or hotel.

The quantity of tourists’ now booking holidays in a private villa has surged over the past 2 years. Villas are now a big factor in the decision of a holiday for late 2011 to escape the coming winter and also for holidays in 2012. You can’t go wrong with the added luxuries available in a villa holiday that aren’t in a package holiday such as a personal chef and concierge service.
Your own personal chef is available to cook all your meals or just an evening meal, maybe a romantic evening meal. The chef will also pick out local organic ingredients so you experience the whole local produce experience.  If you have a dietary requirement like a food allergy or vegetarian your chef will construct the menu around your needs so all parties are catered for.

Choose from a personal driver to escort you round your location and the driver will also pin point the best in restraunts, monuments and views. All personal drivers’ vehicles are fitted with air conditioning making your travel experience bearable in the blistering hot heat. No need to wait around for buses and researching which bus it is you actually need to get in a foreign language. For the more adventurous you can easily rent your own car and travel the land at your own accord.

Isn’t it time you took a break from the 9 to 5 and escaped the poor quality package holidays? It’s now the time to enjoy the luxury of a villa holiday first hand.

Finding Late Deals on Villa Holidays

It's already late July and many property owners abroad still have dates with no-one staying. It's a great time to book last minute villa holidays in Europe.

  • Be Flexible
With both your destinations and dates. If you need exact dates, exact times, or an exact destination -  then often last minute will not work for you. Looking online, you might get lucky, but more often than not you won't find exactly what you want. If you go to a travel agent and tell them you need exact dates and location then they will know not to offer you extra discounts even if they can find something for you! Last minute works best if you are able to say to yourself "I want a city break some time in the next week or 2" or "I want sun, sea and sand and to leave as soon as possible". This gives you lots of flexibility and lots of opportunity to get the best deal.
  • Ferry and Drive
If you're not going too far - why not book a villa through a villa rental website and then book the ferry and drive yourself. This can often be a lot cheaper than flying and will also mean you don't spend as much money on taxis when you arrive.
  • Haggle
The website may say 25% all holidays commencing in the next 2 weeks - but this often means they are desperate. Mention that you are going to book something straight away if they give you the right price and never sound happy with their first offer. Always aim for at least 40% off if it's last minute.
  • Don't sound desperate
If you are speaking to someone - and sound desperate to get somewhere no matter what - then they will find it for you...with a hefty price tag! Never sound desperate.
  • Save on Arrival
If you can drive then you can save a lot of money on transport when you get there. It can also really help you if you stay in a villa to stock up on big bottles of water, big bang of crisps, cheese, bread, and things you can eat for breakfast, lunch and some of your evening meals. Eating out may be cheaper than in the UK but it is usually still a lot cheaper to eat in. Mix it up and have a couple of special meals out and on days when you are enjoying other activities then eat in.

If you have any other ideas, comments or suggestions then please post below and if any of them are good - I'll include them in my next post!

Villa Rentals - Top 10 Things To Avoid

Going on a vacation is probably the best time of the year for most of us, especially when you are going somewhere new with your friends. Renting a villa is sometimes that best decision that you can take if you really want to enjoy an original vacation. There are some things though that you should avoid when you are renting a villa.

1.Make sure that the villa has enough rooms. Nothing can be more frustrating that not having where to sleep and being forced to take the couch or worse, sleep on the floor. We all appreciate our privacy, therefore sleeping with someone else in the room might put a toll on your vacation.

2.Go shopping alone. The best thing is to make a list and go shopping two by two. Organize pairs and avoid going to the supermarket in a group. You will only get lost and nervous between the ails if you have to wait for everybody.

3.Cleaning up. Everyone is on vacation and everyone wants to have a nice time. Therefore make sure that you have teams that clean the dishes and shift the teams around on a daily basis.

4.Make the reservation ahead. Don’t leave everything for the last minute as you may end up sleeping on a park bench. Sign a contract and get a receipt for your deposit. Nothing can ruin your vacation worse than not having where to sleep.

5.Lose your cool. You might love your friends but sometimes they can really get on your nerves. So, play it cool and don’t let them influence you. You are on vacation, right?

6.Talk to the landlord. Keep a friendly relationship with the landlord of the villa and maybe invite him/her over for a cocktail. You may never know when you need his/her help.

7.Get pictures in advance. Make sure that you see the place where you are going to stay. When you come to villa that is full of mold and dirty, you will surely not like it.

8.Research. Try to look the villa up, search for testimonials and comments. You may find some interesting things that might make your decision process easier.

9.Get a contract. Make a contract with your landlord for the number of days well in advance. Making friends is nice but business is business and you should not take any chances.

10.Arrival tour. Take your landlord to show you the villa before you settle in. Some things might be broken and you shouldn’t pay for them later on.

Average Price For Faro Airport Transfers

When you are going on a holiday abroad then you should know that planning everything ahead is the best thing that you can do. Not only it will save you a lot of time and money but you will also have the chance to enjoy your vacation without worrying where you are going to stay, how you will reach your hotel and so on.

Besides packing, making the accommodation reservation and buying the plane tickets there are some other important things that you should think about. For instance, if you have an early flight and you cannot leave your car at the airport, how are you going to get there? Or, once you reach your destination are going to risk taking a cab from the airport or are you going to hire an airport transfer?

These might seem silly questions but I think that we have all heard the stories of those unfortunate people that have lost their flight and were left behind to spend a miserable vacation at home. Or those that got robbed on the way to the hotel or where driven all over town once they reached their destination.

Surely none wants this to happen to him or her therefore hiring airport transfer might just be the best solution. With such services you can book a car in advance and you will be sure that you will get a nice ride to your hotel. All that you need to do is to find the appropriate company that has services in that part of the world where you want to go. Once you have figured whom you want to hire, all you need to do is to fill a standard form and all is done.

You will receive an online confirmation, you will have to pay the driver once you get to your destination and moreover you won’t need a deposit. These firms usually work on trust therefore you have no reason to worry. According to the place that you want to visit the prices may range from 30 Euros to 100 Euros. Most companies work with this currency as it is widely spread and it can be exchanged in every country. The average price for faro airport transfers for most companies is somewhere around 50-60 Euros.

For this low price you will not only ride safely to your hotel but you will also benefit from private transfers that will be the perfect welcoming gift in the country you are visiting!
